Summer Journal

Create an enchanting journal to hold the cherished memories of summer. This ornate book once was a simple composition tablet which now is adorned with the feel of walks on the beach.

Instructions:
1) Cover the outside of the book with patterned papers. Use a glue stick to adhere in place.

2) Wrap and secure the corners and edges.

3) Cut paper to cover inside panels and adhere.

4) Stamp words such as "Journal" and Summer" on the front cover.

5) Stamp large shells using brilliance inks.

6) On scrap paper, stamp small shells with black ink, trim closely and adhere to cover.

7) Use patterned paper to create a tranparency sheet from a cut piece of cold laminate. Place transparency in the center of a large painted and stamped slide mount.

8) Bend swirls from paper covered wire and adhere to slide mount.

9) Stamp two small tags with a shadow stamp and over stamp with numbers depicting the year. Affix in place.

10) Add fibers, sea glass bead and shell to the spine to finish.

Variation:
Create a journal for Holiday occasions filled with photos and tidbits of events. Keep them handy when Family arrives.
