Love Notes Box
Artist: Rachel Greig Glenning Valley, NSW 1st Place - Stamp Craft Skill Level: Advanced Instructions: 1. Ink the edges of the box and lid. Trim a piece of Watermelon cardstock to 4 and 1/8” square. Attach to the top of the lid. Trim a piece of Blossom cardstock to 4” x 3/8”. Stamp ‘notes’ on the right hand side using the Playful lowercase with Black ink. Attach to the lid as shown. Stamp the Paisley Heart onto Blossom cardstock with Cardinal ink, and again onto another piece of Blossom cardstock without re-inking. Trim to leave a small border around each heart. Attach the lighter heart to the lid towards the top. Trim a piece of Blossom cardstock to 4” x 7/8”. Stamp ‘Love’ on 0the right hand side with Black ink. Attach to the lid over the heart. Attach the red stamped heart to the left side of the lid with Foam Tape.
2. Trim Blossom cardstock to 3/8” in a long strip. Stamp the Heart Border from the ‘Wavy Designer Borders’. Attach around the lid as shown. Repeat until all edges are covered.
3. Paint the inside of the lid and inside corners with Red Wagon paint. Allow to dry. Trim Watermelon cardstock to 4” square and attach to the inside of the lid.
4. Trim Watermelon cardstock in a long strip 1” wide. Stamp the Trio Heart border with Cardinal ink, repeating until the strip is covered. Attach to the outside sides of the box. Repeat until all sides are covered on the outside and inside. Trim Watermelon cardstock to 4” square and attach to the inside bottom of the box. Use paint to cover any exposed areas.
5. Trim Flamingo cardstock to 3 and 5/8” square. Stamp the Love and XOXO hearts from the Heart Messages with Cardinal ink. Repeat until the cardstock is covered. Trim Watermelon cardstock to 2.5” x 1 and ¼”. Ink the edges with Cardinal ink. Stamp Tiny I Love You onto Blossom cardstock, trim and attach to the Watermelon cardstock. Attach onto the Flamingo cardstock with Foam Tape.
6. Trim Blossom cardstock to 3 and 5/8” square. Stamp the Asterisk with Cardinal ink and stamp again without re-inking. Repeat until the cardstock is covered. Trim Flamingo cardstock to 4” x 6/8” and stamp the Love border with Cardinal ink. Attach to the Blossom cardstock. Stamp ‘Love Much’ onto Flamingo cardstock with Cardinal ink and trim to leave a small border. Attach over the Love border with Foam tape.
7. Trim Watermelon cardstock to 3 and 5/8” square. Stamp the Dot Circle and Small Dot Circle with Cardinal ink and stamp again without re-inking. Repeat until the cardstock is covered. Trim Flamingo cardstock to 4” x 6/8” and stamp the Flower border with Cardinal ink. Attach to thetop of the Blossom cardstock. Stamp ‘Time to Enjoy’ onto Blossom cardstock with Cardinal ink and trim to leave a small border. Mount onto Flamingo cardstock and trim to leave a small border. Attach to the left side with Foam Tape.
8. Trim Flamingo cardstock to 3 and 5/8” square. Stamp the Heart Flower with Cardinal ink and stamp again without re-inking. Repeat until the cardstock is covered. Trim Blossom cardstock to 4” x 6/8” and stamp the Flower border with Cardinal ink. Attach to the top of the Blossom cardstock. Stamp ‘Smile Moments’ onto Watermelon cardstock with Cardinal ink and trim to leave a small border. Mount onto Blossom cardstock and trim to leave a small border. Attach over the Flower border with Foam tape.
9. Trim Blossom cardstock to 3 and 5/8” square. Stamp the Paisley Prints with Cardinal ink and stamp again without re-inking. Repeat until the cardstock is covered. Trim Watermelon cardstock to 4” x 6/8” and stamp the Circle border with Cardinal ink. Attach to the bottom of the Blossom cardstock. Stamp ‘Life with sunshine onto Flamingo cardstock with Cardinal ink and trim to leave a small border. Mount onto Watermelon cardstock and trim to leave a small border. Attach over the Circle border with Foam tape. 10. Place all the quotes into the box for a lovely gift!
