Celebrate Special Moments
Artist: Godelieve Tijskens
Neerpelt, Belgium

Honorable Mention - Card Art
Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions:
1. Use a “landscape-folded” card. Fold both front and backside in 2, to create a tag-card. Round the upper corners with scissors or a punch.

2. On cream card stock stamp One Large Heart with Versamagic Perfect Plumeria. Mask and stamp Celebrate inside. Trim, leaving a small border. Ink the edges. Stamp a vellum overlay, with Long Good Flower and a little flower from Nature Icons, using Perfect Plumeria. Glue in place, layer with mulberry paper. Adhere a small button to the flower. Attach to the left part of your card. Stamp Moments Remembered with Perfect Plumeria.

3. Cut a piece of cream card stock( be sure to keep a small border of the Papicolor card visible) Round the upper corners. Stamp the big “&” (Ampersand as we call it in Belgium) and Delicate Love Text in Dusty Plum. Add some color to the background, using Dusty Plum ink and a small kitchen sponge. Ink the edges. Create a hint of grass using Abstract Mesh and Perfect Plumeria. Ink the stem of the Long Good Flower and stamp twice (re-ink). Use 2 different Artistic Hearts Stamps to create the flowers. Cut 2 small strips of card stock to make little labels. Stamp with the Window Screen Background, Dusty Plum, and sponge. Ink the edges. Stamp the words “you” and “me” on the tags with Perfect Plumeria, using the Handwritten Lowercas. Glue in place and add a small ribbon knot on top. Attach to the second part of your card. Stamp a Dot (LL 890) at the top, add an eyelet and some ribbon.

4. Make a small envelope (I used a home-made template) using mulberry paper. Glue in place on the third part of your card. Cut two small slits in the folds of your card, pull the ribbon through. Make a double knot and attach 2 wooden beads to finish it off. Stamp the Square Background Edge with Perfect Plumeria on the front of the little folded card. Mask and stamp Moments Background inside the square. Finish it off with the Bridal Bouquet (PSX) stamped with Dusty Plum. The inside of this little card gives you room for a handwritten message.

5. Cut a piece of cream card stock to size. Again, be sure to keep a small border of the Papicolor card visible. Round the upper corners. Ink the Rainbow Wishes stamp with Perfect Plumeria, but use a small piece of post-it paper to mask the sun. Stamp on the cream card stock. Use a small Heart Stamp (Heart Sprinkles LL 876) instead of the sun. Add 3 shades of color to the rainbow, using markers, sponges, and the inks Perfect Plumeria and Dusty Plum. Stamp “forever” to complete the picture. Ink the edges, and sponge a soft background with Dusty Plum. Cut around the rainbow to create a pocket for the “wish-tags”. Glue in place on the right part of your card. Cut 4 strips of cream card stock. Make a soft background with Dusty Plum using the Window Screen Background and the Moments Background. Ink the edges. Stamp the words “love”, ”together”, “happiness,” and “trust” on the tags. Punch a small hole in each tag and finish off with embroidery floss. Stamp a Dot (LL 890) at the top and add an eyelet for a finished look.
