Skill Level: Intermediate

Instructions:
Directions for Boxes:
1) Paint bottom of three nested boxes with red acrylic craft paint & lids with green paint. Let dry.

2) Using Versamark Ink, stamp graphic line trees around sides of largest box. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Adhere gold ribbon to bottom of lid. Line bottom of inside of box with green suede paper (cut to fit).

3) Using Versamark Ink, stamp Decorative Ornaments onto red cardstock. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder & cut out. Adhere to lid of medium-sized box (four on each side) with gold cording so that they appear to be hanging from the lid. Attach gold label plates on two sides of box. Paint green acrylic paint onto white cardstock. Stamp with versamark ink “xmas 2005” and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Make two, cut them out & place in label plates. Line bottom of inside of box with green suede paper (cut to fit).

4) Using Versamark Ink, stamp “ho” three times on each side of smallest box. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Take 12 small jingle bells & string them onto gold cording. Adhere over each “ho” on lid. Line bottom of inside of box with green suede paper (cut to fit).

Directions for Velvet Embossed Black Lavender Sachet:
1) Cut out two 5” x 5” pieces of black acetate/rayon velvet.

2) Place velvet (good side down) on top of rubber stamps (in this case used Large Snowflake & Ribbons & Stitches border). Spritz wrong side with water. Place iron on top of rubber stamp for approx. 8-10 seconds. Repeat until can faintly see pattern showing through back of velvet. Lift & turn velvet over to see the embossed design. Emboss both pieces of velvet.

3) Pin & sew right sides together leaving small opening to turn right side out.

4) Turn, stuff with polyfil & dried lavender & hand-stitch closed.

5) Tie red bow around sachet & place in small box.

Directions for Polymer Clay Stamped Ornament:
1) Condition brick of black polymer clay & run through pasta machine several times at thickest setting.

2) Stamp “Joy to You” definition into black clay and rub red & green Pearlex powders across words to make them “pop”. Set aside.

3) Take clear glass ornament, remove top & use piece of felt to apply green & red alcohol inks across ornament. Then draw vertical lines and allow them to drip directly from the alcohol ink bottles. Let dry.

4) Take small amount of white glue and apply to back of polymer clay. Adhere to ornament. (Glue acts as a buffer since glass & polymer clay expand & contract at different rates in an oven). Allow glue to dry, then follow manufacturer’s instructions to bake ornament. Allow to completely cool down in oven before removing & handling to keep glass from breaking.

5) Add shredded pieces of iridescent cellophane to interior for sparkle. Add top back onto ornament & place in medium-size box. 6) Can stamp on white tissue paper to create customized cushion for the ornament as shown here.

7) Can add bow to ornament for added detail. Directions for black embossed bracelet pillow:
1) Follow same technique as used in Lavender Sachet. This time cut out 9” x 5” pieces of velvet (since will hold several bracelets). In my sample, I embossed using 8 different stamps (graphic trees, ribbons & stitches, Bright Circles, Snowflakes, Season’s Greetings, & Joy).

2) Sew together, stuff with polyfil & add lavender if desired. Set aside.

Directions for glass pebble bracelet:
Note: Made three different sample bracelets… but instructions below will show you how to make one

1) On sheet of white paper 8 ½ x 11” paper, stamp various Christmas dots using brilliance blue, green & red ink. You will need 8-11 stamped images depending on the size of your wrist.

2) Apply Crystal Glaze (clear-drying glue) to top of image & place medium-size clear glass pebbles on top (magnifying stamped image). Note: These are the same pebbles found in your craft store’s floral department. Allow to dry then cut out.

3) Condition brick of black polymer clay & run through pasta machine several times at thickest setting.

4) Fold over so it is a double-thickness, then use circle cutter (like Kemper cutter) that is the approximate size of the glass pebbles to cut out circle shapes in the clay.

5) Take needle tool & pierce hole through side of circle creating a bead. With needle tool still in clay, place the circle over a definition stamp (Merry Christmas stamp in LL956 set). Take a glass pebble not used earlier & press down on top of clay impressing texture onto bottom of clay circle. This will become the underside of your bracelet bead. Remove needle tool & set bead aside.

6) Once all beads are made, apply shimmery Pearlex powders in colors of your choice to textured side of bead. Place on piece of cardstock & bake beads in oven according to manufacturer’s instructions.

7) Once they have cooled, coat with Future Floor Finish to add shine.

8) Coat white paper on back of “stamped” pebbles with black acrylic paint, & allow to dry.

9) Using E6000 glue, attach beads to the black side of the pebble. Allow to dry for a couple of hours…. Then you will be ready to string your bracelet!

10) String your stamped beads onto stretch elastic cord. Add spacer beads as desired. Tie in a square knot & cut edges approx. ¼” from knot.

11) Place finished bracelet(s) onto black velvet-embossed pillow & place in large decorated box.

To finish:
Once all steps above are complete, stack boxes on top of each other & tie with large decorative organdy bow. Your tower of holiday fun is complete!
