Happy Birthday, Deer!

Create a sweet and endearing birthday greeting by contrasting the ruggedness of the woodgrain with the simplicity of the deer.

Additional Materials:
Mega and Giga scallop circle punches (Marvy), corner rounder punch (Fiskars), black ink, Copic markers, heat gun, thin brown marker for faux stitching, glue dots

Instructions:
  1. Stamp woodgrain onto approximate 5" x 3.75" Mocha notecard scrap using Frost Versamark ink.
  2. Sprinkle clear embossing powder across top and tap off excess. Heat emboss with heat gun.
  3. Stamp young deer onto white scrap and color with markers.
  4. Punch out colored image with mega scallop circle punch.
  5. Punch out larger giga scallop circle from blossom notecard scrap.
  6. Adhere stamped image to blossom circle and adhere to front of woodgrain panel.
  7. Trim off excess along right side.
  8. Stamp happy birthday sentiment in Artprint Brown ink onto white scrap and cut out.
  9. Round top corners to create a tab.
  10. Ink edges with Pink Pastel chalk ink and adhere to top left of woodgrain panel.
  11. Use thin brown marker to create line of faux stitching
  12. Use corner rounder punch on all four corners of woodgrain panel and blossom notecard.
  13. Adhere woodgrain panel to front of notecard.
  14. Add mocha art flower with glue dot and adhere two medium pearls and one small pearl to middle of flower.
  15. Ink edges of entire card with pink pastel chalk ink to finish.

Variation:
Don't own a sewing machine? Create faux stitching by connecting a line of small dots with a thin marker.
